Football fans have slammed Sky Sports this evening after the channel allegedly played ‘fake crowd noise’ during the minute’s silence prior to the Steel City Derby.
Viewers tuned into watch Sheffield United’s match against Sheffield Wednesday, however were left baffled when the Last Post trumpet call started to play out before cheering could be heard before it appeared to sound like a fans making noise but on a loop.

Some media users claimed it was perfectly quiet in the ground whilst the minute’s silence was being observed.
Supporters tuning into the game demanded that Sky Sports made an apology for the sound issue.
Sky Sports’ Twitter account have since tweeted about what “some viewers” had experienced…

It was recently claimed by the Daily Mail that Sky Sports uses technology to drown out Leeds United supporters when they chant ‘Sky TV is f****** s***’.
