Championship side Birmingham City saw heated scenes in their first pre-season friendly of the summer against Akhmat Grozny.
Before half time, a flare-up saw the Russia side’s staff on the pitch after a late tackle on Craig Gardner.
Akhmat’s Odise Roshi went head to head with Gardner, who was reacting to getting the ball thrown at him by the tackler.
Akhmat backroom staff and substitutes decided to get involved, then a disturbance in the crowd followed as the support staff and officials confronted Birmingham fans.
The referee decided to take the teams off the field and ended the first-half a minute early.

The game resumed after half time as norma it saw the Blues fail to find the net.
Recently, reports emerged that Birmingham are believed to be facing a transfer embargo due to a breach of Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.
Last summer’s high expenditure under former manager Harry Redknapp is believed to have left Birmingham in uncharted waters.
