It came as the Poppies scored a late winner against AFC Rushden & Diamonds to go from 1-0 down to win 2-1 within 14 minutes.
A low shot from the Rushden’s Nathan Hicks flew into the bottom corner to put them in the lead after 55th minute.
Kettering found an equaliser through Lindon Meikle who hit home from inside the box after 76 minutes before Rhys Hoenes headed in from close range.

The latter clip went on to be watched by nearly 30,000 users on social media and was even spotted by the goalkeeper himself, who then retweeted a set of tweets claiming that objects were thrown by fans who also spat…
It's a shame this clip didn't capture the throwing of coins and spitting by the "fans" behind the goal, then a better perspective may be gained!!! https://t.co/e6ny48e1k8

One fan claimed nothing of the sort happened though…
The first thing @PaulWhiteGK1 said after the game was a woman spat at him and a coin hit him. He don't care about abuse but that's wrong. So far play he only did that 👌

The derby win, which was the first ever league meeting between the two sides, saw Kettering remain second in the Southern League Premier Division Central table behind leaders Stourbridge who are two points ahead but played three games more. AFC Rushden & Diamonds however slipped to 6th – a place outside the playoff zone.
Many of those who were at that match and viewed the video of the Kettering keeper winding up the Rushden fans took to give their reaction, the majority loved the banter he was giving – take a look at what they had to say on the next page.
