VIDEO: Gary Neville mocks ’embarrassing’ Carragher for conceding to Usain Bolt in Soccer Aid

Gary Neville has tonight got his own back on work colleague Jamie Carragher by mocking him as ’embarrassing’ for conceding to Usain Bolt in Soccer Aid.

Just weeks ago, the former Liverpool player took the mickey out of Neville who produced a shocking miss in a Manchester United legends match.


DJ Locksmith sent in a brilliant ball looking for Usain Bolt, only for Carragher to try stop it reaching the Olympian, but when adjusting his body to try to head clear, he mistimed his jump and saw the Jamaican hit home to get the Rest of the World back in the game after falling behind twice.

Gary posted on his social media account: “I was off Twitter! Embarrassing!”.

During the half-time break, Carragher replied saying: “Read it all day, deceived by the bounce then a miss hit. Nothing I could do T-bag.”

After the break, his performance soon got better, making many a goal line clearance and even was named the best player on the field since the commentators mocked him.

The match sees former professionals and celebrities battle it out on the pitch ‘so that more children can grow up happy, healthy and able play – just like children should. Around the world, poverty, hunger and disease are disrupting playtime for millions of children. Soccer Aid for Unicef is defending play for every child., so far a total of more than £20 million being donated and used to help potentially save lives.’


It wasn’t just Gary that took the mick out of Carra either, as many on Twitter wrote in, the former Liverpool player was mentioned so much that his name flew up the United Kingdom trends list – find out what they had to say on the next page.
