VIDEO: Cardiff and Stoke fans get kicked out of the stands

Cardiff and Stoke fans get kicked out of the stands which can be seen in videos that were posted on social media during Saturday’s Championship clash.

The first of the two sees a Bluebirds supporter trying to resist getting ejected out of the ground by stewards, the reason why he got taken away is not known.

The incident, which took place prior to kick off, shows a couple of the five stewards handling him, before falling into two rows of seats and into spectators.

A second video shows another situation during the game where stewards walked up the steps of one stand towards a Stoke fan that had been making plane gestures at those in the away end.

One witness said: “I’m sat behind in the pink hat. The banter was out of hand throughout the whole game. The bloke in front of me (2nd to walk down the steps) left behind a child (around 10) in floods of tears. I didn’t see him do anything, however I’m so glad our club and the police did something.”

This is the second time this season we’ve reported this happening towards Cardiff supporters as Reading fans did it in reference to the sad death of player Emiliano Sala a few years ago.

A short time later, stewards were then seen speaking to the fan before taking him by the arms and escorting him out of the ground.

Southampton fans taunted and mocked the death of Sala in February last year. All three were fined over £500 and one was given a four-year football banning order.

Hampshire Constabulary’s football officer Andrew Darbyshire said the minute’s silence before the Southampton game was “impeccably observed” but the three men were a “small minority whose behaviour goes over the line”.

Each man admitted using threatening, abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, making it an arrestable offence.
