With the World Cup this summer, the off season seems even shorter than ever. Who is to be crowned champion of the world for the next four years has yet to be decided and non league teams across the country are already deep into their pre-season schedule.
The brief window between the season just gone, and the one fast approaching, almost here, allows Two Men In Search Of The Beautiful Game the time to reflect on eleven months where they’ve travelled more miles than ever before, they’ve seen more pyro, more flags, more singing fans, eaten more burgers & lost more money on halftime draws than ever before.
From Penydarren Park to Parkside, from The Walks to Westwood Road, their travels in search of the ‘Beautiful Game’ have taken them to almost every corner of the non league universe. Hollowed out bread, a one man fan base, whisky, wonderful goals and wizards, we’ve seen it all.
Come wind, rain, snow, or shine, nights where they thought they might lose a toe it was so cold or days where we got so sunburned they thought they’d never be ever to leave the house again, they have explored and enjoyed themselves so much, and can’t wait for 2018/19 to start.
Two Men In Search Of The Beautiful Game hope you enjoy their look back over what has been an unforgettable season.
