Premier League players Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard both scored twice as Belgium all but secured qualification into the knockout round with an easy 5-2 victory over Tunisia.
Lukaku’s brace, his second at this summer’s tournament, means he is now the joint top scorer alongside Cristiano Ronaldo with four goals in two games.
Hazard got Belgium off to a great start as he converted a penalty with a right footed shot to the bottom left corner to put them 1-0 up after 6 minutes.
10 minutes later and it was 2-0 for the Red Devils. Lukaku’s left footed shot from the centre of the box found the bottom right corner.
Tunisia responded straight away with a goal of their own in the 18th minute to make it 2-1.
Belgium struck again in injury time at the end of the first half, with Meunier teeing up Lukaku – the striker chipped a shot past Mustapha to make it 3-1 at the interval.
The European side extended their advantage six minutes after the restart, with Hazard running onto a long ball from Alderweireld, rounding the goalkeeper and shooting into the net to go 4-1 up.
Substitute Batshuayi, who also had a shot cleared off the line and hit the bar from close range, finally found the target from Tielemans’ cross.
Tunisia did manage a late consolation, when Khazri swept home Nagguez’s cross with seconds to go.
