Trouble breaks out at Warrington v Southport with footage showing what happened including a fan sent flying over the advertising hoarding.
In the football news, Southport gained revenge for their opening day defeat at home to Warrington Town with a 3-0 win at Cantilever Park last week.
The Yellows had opened up their debut season in the National League North with a 4-0 win in the reverse fixture, but it was a different story on Tuesday night (5th March 2024) as goals from Richie Bennett, Marcus Carver and Adam Anson earned the visitors a deserved three points.
But as can be seen in the video below, it all got a bit heated in the stands…

Neither club have issued a statement on the incident, but the video has since done the rounds on social media after being uploaded this week.
1,421 fans were in attendance for this fixture, but segregation is something that fans have took issue with.
Leading up to the game, Warrington said that “There will be soft segregation in place, monitored and directed by police and stewards.”

Judging by the amount of police cars that went flashing past as we were leaving indicated more trouble. The good thing is that the security on duty are the same firm that do SFC, culprits will be identified.
