Tranmere Rovers tweet goes viral after hilarious mistake

A tweet by the radio account of Tranmere Rovers went viral earlier this month after they made a hilarious mistake during one of their matches.

With less than 30 minutes left of their match away at Yeovil Town, they tweeted that player Paul Mullin ‘beats his Nan’ instead of ‘beats his man’.

Tranmere went on to draw 0-0 with Yeovil to drop to 6th in their first season back in League Two following promotion from the National League in the summer. As of today they sit 7th following a 3-1 defeat at Forest Green and a 5-1 thrashing over Crawley Town.

After the tweet was posted, football fans quickly jumped to mock the error as well as giving their hilarious responses – take a look at those tweets on the next page.
