“That’s stunning” – Bournemouth unveil new away kit for remaining games and 20/21

“That’s stunning” is one response from a supporter after Bournemouth unveil their new away kit for the remaining games of 2019/20 and the 2020/21 season.

The Premier League club are in a relegation battle, sitting a point from safety, however, they have some very tough upcoming fixtures to come, one of those being Manchester United away on Saturday the 4th of July, which will see the new strip make it’s debut.

The Cherries said via their website: AFC Bournemouth can reveal the brand-new away kit for the remaining games of the 2019/20 season and the 2020/21 campaign.

The vivid graphic print on the shirt takes inspiration from the location of the football club and features one of the town’s most iconic landmarks, Bournemouth Pier.

The club are excited to further strengthen the link between themselves and the local area with this unique design which will be worn by Eddie Howe’s side for the first time at Old Trafford as the Cherries take on Manchester United.

A victory for Manchester United would extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to 16 matches and take them above Chelsea into fourth place.

AFC Bournemouth are aiming to end a run of four successive defeats, and a draw would put them level on points with 17th-placed Watford.

AFC Bournemouth are looking to complete their first Premier League double over Man Utd following their 1-0 home win back in November.

No team have scored a higher percentage of their goals from set-pieces this season than AFC Bournemouth, with 53 per cent.

Back to Bournemouth and the unveil of their new away kit now and features of the shirt, created by Umbro, include a dropped hem, stacked embroidered diamond, tonal club crest and the ‘afcb’ sign off on the back of the neck.

Like the new Cherries home shirt, the club are proud to be working with Vitality – who are based in the town – and their logo sits on the front of the shirt for the last six games of the 2019/20 campaign.

Due to Vitality’s shirt sponsorship being in place for the remaining nine games of 2019/20, the kit is currently not available to pre-order or purchase. On sale information will be provided ahead of the 2020/21 season.
