The Twitter account of Sunderland AFC has once again gone viral this week after they trolled Newcastle United fans for turning up to watch their matches this season.
Towards the end of last month, a man wearing a Newcastle United shirt was ejected from Shrewsbury Town’s League One match with Sunderland.
It seems that wasn’t the only game they have been turning up to of the Black Cats after a Twitter thread showed photos of all the games that the Magpies fans had been turning up at.
Sunderland are clearly aware of them turning up and cheekily tweeted yesterday, suggesting the Newcastle fans could “save on your tickets with a 12-game season card” as well as naming and shaming those who had been turning up.

After seeing us win home and away, we assume you’ve already signed up, @paulzim, @AJ19XXEST, @jordantoon4life?
And lads, did you know you can save on your tickets with a 12-game season card ?? https://t.co/Kc0Ldy8AUZ pic.twitter.com/rL56xFvOCK

The tweet went on to receive over 1,800 likes and nearly 700 retweets.
Plenty of Sunderland fans once again praised the person behind the club’s Twitter account and recommended that they need a raise – take a look at that hilarious reaction on the next page.
