Scunthorpe United sack their manager

League One side Scunthorpe United have parted company with manager Nick Daws.

It comes after they were hammered 5-0 by Joey Barton’s Fleetwood Town during midweek.

The Iron started the season beating newly promoted Coventry City, but since then, have only picked up one point from three matches.

Daws, was named as manager in May after leading the Iron to the League One playoffs as caretaker alongside assistant manager Andy Dawson.
