Pompey fans decided to taunt ex-Southampton keeper Angus Gunn and fume at a disallowed goal and no penalty given v Norwich.
John Mousinho felt his side were on the wrong end of a decision to disallow a goal in the second half of their goalless draw with Norwich City.
Connor Ogilvie found the net following a corner kick after Angus Gunn had deflected the ball into his path from the initial cross.
But, referee Andrew Kitchen ruled that winger Matt Ritchie had committed a foul against the City keeper.
Mousinho also took issue with a number of other big decisions, feeling they had a valid claim for a penalty when Norwich’s Jack Stacey appeared to bring Josh Murphy down in the penalty area.
Murphy got between Stacey and the ball, leading to a the full-back making contact with him, Murphy fell and appeals were made for a penalty. Only for the referee to give nothing.

What an honour for Angus Gunn, a relatively low level scummer, to get such a solid and sustained scummering tonight pic.twitter.com/g4pChm14Cn

John Mousinho said, per The Pink Un: “I’ve seen it back, so it’s easy for me to say, but Matt Ritchie is by the goalkeeper; Angus Gunn puts two hands on Matt and pushes him – so it’s either a penalty or a goal. I can’t see why it’s been disallowed,” he told reporters after the clash.
“I spoke to the ref about it, and we had a good conversation. I thought the ref was very, very good, to be fair, all night.
“There were a couple of big decisions that I’m obviously disagreeing with him about not getting right, but we’ve got the benefit of a replay, and I thought it was a goal. Whether we did enough to win the game, I don’t know, but I definitely thought we edged it.
“I can’t really remember Nico [Schmid] being tested. Having said that, I can’t really remember [Angus] Gunn being tested too much, either. I think both sides got into really good areas and will both be disappointed not to have worked the goalkeeper a bit more.”
After a 3-0 victory over Bristol City over the weekend, Mousinho reacted with pride at the performances that helped Pompey climb out of the Championship’s bottom three ahead of more Championship fixtures on Wednesday evening.
“You don’t get given anything at this level, certainly when you come up against a side like Norwich,” he said.
“It’s a really hard-fought point. We are delighted with the performance but slightly disappointed with the result. If you can’t win, then don’t lose. We’ll take the clean sheet and move onto Friday.
“I was thrilled with it. It was superb from start to finish and was 97 minutes worth of graft from the lads, especially on the back of what we produced at the weekend, which was a huge physical output against a really good Championship side.
“We need to expect that at this level and do that consistently, but to perform back to back is the sign of a side that is getting there.”
Portsmouth manager John Mousinho told BBC Radio Solent: “A really good point, the clean sheet is something to build on and to be honest I thought it was a really good performance from start to finish against a really, really good Championship side.
“I am really pleased with how far the boys have come, with the bravery they are showing to press and with the bravery shown on the ball. We just have to put a final few bits together and we’ll be nearly there.”
He said, per the club website:: “It’s a really good point and the clean sheet is something to build on – I thought the performance was superb.
“I’m pleased with how far the boys have come and the bravery that they’re showing on the ball and with their pressing. So it’s about trying to keep building momentum.
“Norwich played some great stuff when they broke our press and I thought after we were on top in the first half, it was more balanced after the break.
“They’re a good side and there were opportunities for us. It would have been nice to test the keeper a bit more, but these are difficult games.
“That was Owen Moxon’s first Championship start and I thought he was excellent, mixing it with top-end Championship footballers.
“It was the same for Paddy Lane – he’s been waiting patiently and looked a real threat. We’ve seen a lot of improvement.
“I said in the dressing room afterwards that for lads to come in from the cold like that and play the way they did is great.”
Norwich City manager Johannes Hoff Thorup told BBC Radio Norfolk: “Short story is that it is OK for us with a point. The attitude and the character from the boys was outstanding and what we needed after the game on Saturday. In the future we can be even better and we have to be better.
“We have to become a little bit better on the ball and find those moments.
“We have been talking about the risk-reward [balance] and today it was low risk and not too much reward. Sometimes we play with the high risk but again it is about balance. We accepted this was going to be tough but it was important we kept a clean sheet.
“Kenny McLean was a part of our preparation but at 3pm today we had to change that. It was a surprise to me that things like this can happen.”
