Peter Crouch leaves viewers in hysterics as he slips over attempting crossbar challenge

Peter Crouch leaves viewers in hysterics as he slips over live on TNT Sports while attempting the crossbar challenge at Molineux.

Crouchy couldn’t help but laugh at himself while all red-faced after he fell over while attempting his shot before the televised game between Wolves and Liverpool on Saturday.

He had been working as a pundit for his former club’s clash, but will come away from it having gone viral with Joe Cole also seen left crying with laughter.

Joe Cole had also stepped up first to attempt the crossbar challenge, but his effort was just too low for the woodwork.

Lynsey Hipgrave said while laughing, “Oh my god! I knew someone was going to fall.”

Crouch: Who’s made me do this, for God’s sake?

Lynsey Hipgrave: Oh God.

Joe Cole: Exactly what TNT sports wanted.

Crouch: Do you know that’s just why they make me do these things. I’m going to be a meme forever.

Lynsey Hipgrave: Peter! Let’s go find you some deep heat or something!

TNT Sports were quick to upload a replay of the incident onto social media, adding a new angle, and the clip got thousands of views within the first few hours.

Chris Stark tweeted: “This IS everything πŸ˜‚ That’s next podcast sorted… #backstronger”

‘That Peter Crouch Podcast’ is described to be an entertainment and sports podcast hosted by Peter Crouch, Chris Stark and Steve Sidwell, a guide on how to be a professional footballer, the episodes include insight on everything from dressing rooms, transfers, managers, football confessions and other details of the modern game.

It’s one of the most popular podcasts in the UK since its launch, attracting 12 million listens in 2019, having started with BBC but in April 2022 left the broadcaster and made a commercial partnership with Acast.

So be sure to listen, especially to the next one with Crouch’s slip no doubt getting a mention.
