Pep Clotet shoves, grabs and aggressively SHAKES his player Raimonds Krollis while on the touchline following a red card.

Clotet has sparked significant controversy following an impulsive outburst captured live on TV during his Triestina team’s match on Friday night.

Footage of the 47 year old former EFL manager has gone viral on social media after he laid hands on Krollis during a Serie C fixture.

Pep these days is now managing Italian side Triestina, after being appointed just under three weeks ago, but the 1-0 home defeat at home to Giana Erminio left his side sitting bottom of the table with just one win after 14 rounds of fixtures this season.

Clotet’s actions have left fans worldwide stunned at what he did to his own player, Raimonds Krollis, who had bene given a direct red card for getting in a tussle before being deemed to have lashed out at his opponent in the 33rd minute.

It seems he wanted more than just words with Krollis, the player, instead of heading straight down the tunnel, made his way over towards his manager.

At this point, a visibly angry Clotet stormed over, grabbed his collar and began to shake him.

Krollis, 23, was of course dejected from being sent off, and was about to be shouted at by his manager, although he didn’t try to free himself from his manager’s outburst.

It got for for Clotet’s side, just three minutes from time, Giana Erminio netted a late winner thanks to Gabriel Avinci.

The result has left Triestina sitting to the bottom of the table with just six points from 14 games, and winless since their win against Arzignano on the 24th of August.

While for Pep, since taking over on the 21st of October, he’s picked up two points from the four games he’s been in charge of.

After Friday’s game, Clotet effectively sacked Krollis on the spot, saying to the media that the Latvian will never play for the team again while he is in charge.

Clotet said: “Krollis is done with Triestina as long as I am the coach.

“My gesture was right for what happened. What Krollis did is unacceptable. It damages Triestina, the club he represents and football in general.

“Giana Erminio surprised us with their tactical attitude, but we managed to recover and get into the game until the expulsion.

“Obviously, they then managed the game, but we, in numerical inferiority, fought and tried until the end.

“We need to develop a more careful mentality. We need to know how to manage the crucial moments of the games, and this is an individual aspect. We lack understanding of situations. Sometimes we risk needlessly. The commitment was there. We defended well even if we conceded an avoidable goal for a lost ball that we should have managed better.”
