New Love Island contestant Finn Tapp is a footballer for Oxford City, who have revealed that they didn’t have any idea of his plans.
The 20-year-old, who was born in Milton Keynes, is a defender for the National League South side, but failed to warn them about making his reality show debut.

Last night a spokesman tweeted: “The club was not aware Finn Tapp was going on Love Island – this is normal protocol for all contestants. We understand and wish Finn luck on the show.”
In a further tweet, the club said that Finn was their “star young player” – despite the player asking to miss out on his upcoming fixtures to instead search for love in South Africa.
A year earlier, Finn made his professional debut for MK Dons against Bournemouth.
He managed to get on the scoresheet in a 4-1 defeat to Norwich City in 2016 when playing for the academy.
Now he’s put his footballing career to one side and instead tried his hand at reality TV.

He described himself on the sow as a “relationship kinda guy”.
“I’m looking for a partner to come out of the villa with.”
“I know I’ll make friends with the blokes in there too so I should be a good contender.”
He currently has his eyes on Siânnise, Paige and Sophie and rates himself ” 9 out of 10″.
He added, “I’m backing myself.
“My eyes are my best feature.”
TWITTER REACTION:

@ajleeds89: Should be sacked, total disrespect to everyone at the team.
@Deblueded: @milesSI In the pipeline for FM21? Non League clubs at risk of losing players for a stint on a reality television show
@mkarmy23: Finn Tapp stretchered off on Saturday and almost suffered a serious injury. Best way to get over it? Get a free holiday on Love Island. Fair play
@hardyad_tony: He’s a contracted player and didn’t inform you that he wouldn’t be available for goodness knows how many weeks? Wow!
@TomBfcTaylor7: Wtf he just flew to South Africa and you had no idea
@RWillsMKD: No fucking way is Finn Tapp on love island
