Most expensive Championship signings in the summer window so far

The summer transfer window has been open for a while now and we have seen many new big signings in the Football League.

In this article, we have taken a look at the top ten most expensive signings in the Championship so far.

In June, Brentford signed England Under-21 defender Ezri Konsa from Charlton for £2.57million.

The 20-year-old centre-back agreed an initial three-year contract, with the Bees having the option of extending the deal for a further 12 months.

Konsa featured 86 times for the Addicks after making his debut in August 2016.

He was part of the England squad which won the Under-20 World Cup in June last year and helped the Under-21s win the Toulon Tournament a few months ago.



At the end of June, Nottingham Forest signed Algerian international Hillal Soudani for £2.70million from Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.

The 30-year-old, who scored 86 goals in five seasons in Croatia, agreed a three-year deal at the City Ground.

The forward has also scored 21 goals in 41 appearances for his homeland.

He is the fourth overseas signing to join the club this summer.
