It’s that time of year again, Halloween is done for another year and thoughts and starting to turn to Christmas and yesterday evening, TV viewers spotted the first festive advert of the year but it’s caused a stir.
The ad we’re talking about is Currys PC World, which looks to be set in an Oliver Twist like times but with gadgets including drones and a voice activated speaker.
One scene in the advert was in a pub full of drinkers before the camera showed the LD TV they were watching, which had some sort of classic looking football. However eagle-eyed viewers spotted the scoreline graphic on the top left of it had ‘WIM 4-0 MK’, assuming that’s Wimbledon v Milton Keynes Dons, which left some fans on social media baffled.
Check out the advert and see if you can spot it…

The Christmas advert caught the attention of MK Dons on Twitter who then made a dig at Currys PC World by saying that their fans should boycott the shop and head to John Lewis instead.
Anyone looking for a computer this Christmas… why not try John Lewis? https://t.co/3Of9iroZpy

It was certainly confusing for many as to why the company, who have two stores in Milton Keynes, have gone for the two teams and that scoreline, however the company have confirmed in tweets who was responsible for it…
Haven't you heard about the nail-biting League Two Cup Final of the 19th Century? Pigott played an absolute blinder. #AFCW
