Leicester players partied after defeat to Chelsea and sent a damning message just hours before Steve Cooper got sacked.
During their night out in Copenhagen, a sign was displayed that read “Enzo I miss you,” referring to former manager Enzo Maresca, who had guided the team to promotion before leaving for Chelsea.
This action by the players has been seen as a damning reflection on Cooper’s tenure, suggesting a lack of support or faith in his leadership.
Steve Cooper was subsequently sacked by Leicester City on Sunday, leaving the club in 16th place in the Premier League after 12 games played and two points above the relegation zone.
Danish paper Ekstra Bladet published a video of Leicester players partying in Copenhagen, reportedly to enjoy an early Christmas party ahead of the busy festive period…
I’m sorry but a group of Leicester players all flying to Denmark to celebrate after losing v Chelsea knowing full well Cooper was sacked is something. 😂 pic.twitter.com/oTzlHZo4Rv

Wonder what the Leicester fans are saying about this? Losing at home and then some of the players travel to Denmark to go clubbing? And the coach being sacked too…. #leicestercity #PremierLeague | video: @EkstraBladet pic.twitter.com/OazsD9dpd6

The Telegraph report that Steve Cooper had fall-outs with both Winks, Choudhury, and Vestergaard, who was reportedly banished from training at one stage during the manager’s spell, while also getting in a confrontation with Cooper.
Meanwhile, Footy Insider claim that Leicester City players turned on Steve Cooper in an owner-led dressing room inquest shortly after the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea.
The Leicester owners are said to have entered the dressing room soon after the final whistle to assess the mood of players. One senior star is believed to have said Cooper’s tactics and set-up were a “f***** disgrace”. Cooper was sacked 24 hours later.
Steve Cooper is said to have been left stunned by his Leicester sacking, with the hierarchy apparently left unconvinced by performances, with player friction behind the scenes also one of their reasons for the decision.

Here’s how fans reacted to the video which shows Leicester players partied and sent a damning message just hours before Steve Cooper got sacked…
@_dc194: How on earth do you manage to fall out with Harry Winks, the nicest, most inoffensive man on the planet.
@adr__s: Vestregaard is probably had a conflict with every coach he met on his way 😅.
@lcfcjoss: Love itttt, winksy party is the best party
@CFCKaz6_: Harry Winks’ face when he saw the sign 😂😂
@ajwatchLCFC: They hated cooper as much as we did! We have no game until next week and footballers can have a life.
@ButlerAndy: Strikes me as a really toxic dressing room there for years with a clique of players who are very capable of getting any coach sacked. Amazing really as Leicester are no bigger than any other provincial club like WBA, The Sheffield sides, Boro etc. Massive sense of entitlement
@amar_siiingh: the players best fucking turn up for the remainder of the season, obviously they didn’t like the manager but looks unprofessional as fuck all these videos coming out and they continue to drop stinkers, time to show us they wasn’t the problem 👍
@lcfc_art: 😭😭 ive got my club back
@LCFC_Finn05: No fucking wayyyy 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@BriersGary: I’d quite like my players to get back to fucking work! They might not be taking this seriously but trust me. Our fans can soon start letting you know. Mass protests at Seagrave if you fucks don’t start taking us seriously.
@MathewForth: This is absolutely pathetic. Players shouldn’t be behaving like this….. Blame the manager all you like, and Cooper is what he is, but what hope do you have up against this?
@craiglcfc: They absolutely despised Cooper as much as most of us didn’t they😂
@VestyThe_Goat: I love my club again
@abr0ml: They obviously knew what was coming! Lads
@vkamerr: Ain’t no party like a Janick party
@LCFC1884VERDICT: Who are the players in the video?
@Tinkerler99: How much did they hate him jesus 😂😂😂😂😂
@SamMartinFPL: Says it all that 🤣🤣 Enzo gave us one final present.
@lcfcjoss: Coady, Winks, Hamza, Justin, Ward, Alves, McAteer. Apparently pretty much everyone was there tho and it was just the Xmas do
@Tinkerler99: Celebrating cooper being sacked 😍😍😍😍😍😍
@lcfc_b: Fucking beautiful
@WoodZz19: Fucking love it, fair play never should’ve got a ex forest manager in always gonna shit if I knew they were there would’ve brought another bottle for them
@lcfceriic:
So the last 4 days for this social experiment of a club:
– Main sponsor goes bankrupt
– Best player out for the season
– Loss
– Players partying right after the loss
– Manager sacked
Rollercoaster Leicester is back
@LCFCFAN32: When was the last time Leicester had a season with no drama at all and just quietly finished mid table 😂
