Match referee Lee Probert has been slammed by the football world after he booked Demarai Gray for his celebration in tribute to the club’s late owner.
It was this time last week that Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha lost his life, along with two of his staff members, pilot Eric Swaffer and his partner, in a tragic helicopter crash outside the club’s King Power Stadium.
The Foxes broke the deadlock in the second half through a fine finish from Gray who then took off his shirt to reveal writing which read ‘For Khun Vichai’ as a tribute to the owner, who had his name sang out throughout the game.
Following the celebrations, Probert walked over towards the player and yellow carded him for commemorating his late boss.
Tommo on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday took to say that the referee should “Get a life!”.

The actions were correct according to the rules, however many could say that it would have been nice to have let this go.
Because of the referee’s decision, football fans everywhere took to Twitter to criticise what he did – check out those tweets on the next page.
