The new home kit sports the Magpies’ famous black and white stripes but they are much thicker this season compared to last and carries Sharpes of Nottingham, the club’s travel partner, as the sponsor.
And the away shirt is in “green glimmer and asphalt” according to PUMA.
BRISTOL ROVERS HOME KIT
Bristol Rovers revealed the new home kit for the 2021/22 season.
This year’s Macron kit draws inspiration from the home strip that debuted in the 1999-2000 season, worn by a squad featuring many Rovers icons that live long in the memory of many Gasheads.
The buttoned collar is a new spin on the 1999 style which featured a V-shaped collar, while the strip of the original Avec logo, tumbling from each shoulder down to sleeve, has been updated to our modern Macron style.
As a call-back to the original 1999 kit, the blue and white quarters featured on both the front and the back of this year’s shirt, a change from the block of blue that has backed more recent kits.
Poplar Insulation also continue as our back of shirt sponsor, featuring just below the collar. A new shorts sponsor will also be announced in due course.
A core aspect of this year’s kit is its material, an Eco-Fabric, 100% of which comes from recycled plastic and has been certified by Global Recycled Standard.
SUNDERLAND HOME KIT
Sunderland AFC’s 2021-22 Nike home kit has been revealed.
Inspired by the club’s first Nike kit worn from 1983 to 1986, the remixed design also takes elements from the club’s 1995-97 away strip and 2009-10 home shirt.
Featuring a white base to provide an 80s’ vibe, the fading stripes throw back to SAFC’s yellow Avec shirt from the mid-90s to build one of the most bespoke designs in the club’s recent history.
Echoes of the Lads’ 2009-10 shirt also subtly influence the bespoke design, as a large abstract crest adorns the front of the garment.
Paired with black shorts and red socks, the shirt once again proudly displays the logo of the club’s principal partner, Great Annual Savings.

The addition of dark blue to the home kit is a tribute to the team who won the 1971/72 First Division title for the first time in the club’s history.
The Rams started that season wearing traditional black and white shirts matched with blue shorts, and then changed to white shirts with blue shorts as then manager, Brian Clough insisted that the team donned a kit that resembled the blue and white of the England national side.
Clough’s side, who were only promoted to the top-flight in 1969, went on to lift the title after a superb season.
It will be 50 years since that achievement towards the end of upcoming campaign and the club wanted to honour the 1971/72 side to mark the anniversary in the new season’s kit.
