He hasn’t had a good few years having seen a loan move from City to West Ham turn into a nightmare last season which went on to cost him his World Cup place.
It was reported that the England international didn’t feature manager Pep Guardiola’s plans, and with just a year left on his contract, City was too allow the stopper to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, however, City will take the former Shrewsbury Town keeper to the USA for friendlies against Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
The Premier League champions will travel to Chicago, while also taking in New York and Miami over the next fortnight.
He has been linked with plenty of clubs, you can see a recent article for who he was favourites to join by clicking HERE.
