Hereford part company with manager

Hereford have tonight confirmed that they part company with manager Russell Slade, with the club currently sitting 16th in the National League North table.

The Bulls will now be looking for their third manager or head coach of the current season with an interim appointment expected to be announced on Tuesday.

THE CLUB STATEMENT:

“Hereford FC can confirm that first-team manager Russell Slade has left the club by mutual consent.

“The decision for Slade to leave, which comes into effect immediately, was made following lengthy discussions between Hereford FC Chairman Andrew Graham and Russell Slade earlier today.

Following those discussions, Graham said: “Unfortunately the existing business commitments of Russell Slade do not meet with the current demands of this Football Club. We appreciate that Russell inherited an extremely difficult situation, but we find ourselves in a tough position at this moment in time and we as a board need to act in the best interests of the club.

“I’d like to thank Russell for his hard work during his time at Edgar Street and wish him well for the future.”

“An interim coach and supporting staff will be appointed as soon as possible.”

“The Bulls entertain Curzon Ashton on Saturday in an important Vanarama National League North match.”

Graham has urged Hereford fans to back their team in numbers this weekend: “This is a crucial time of the season and a huge game for us this weekend.

“I would urge fans to rally behind the players and turn out in their numbers this weekend as we look for a return to a consistent run of positive results.”
