English football is set for the introduction of a ‘circuit breaker’ as clubs give approval to halt the season for the festive period.
Lately, EFL and non league clubs have multiple matches postponed over the festive period which is a blow to all associated with the sides.
Over the last few days we have seen statements issued with a member of the various teams contracting Covid-19, meaning that fixtures can’t be played with players self-isolating.
I am told that talks are afoot around a circuit breaker, which could mean no football between now and January 9th. Expect more from news outlets over the next 24hrs or so.

If you ask people to isolate the least you can do is put live sport on the TV for them to watch.

I think they’ll be no football for the whole of January across all the leagues in England & Wales
