Hartlepool United fans have replied back to their club’s social media accounts with amusing responses after the job for first team manager was advertised.
It was earlier this week that the National League strugglers parted company with Matthew Bates after nine months in charge.
It came after the Pools were defeated by AFC Fylde on Tuesday making it their sixth in a row and leaving the club 13th in the table.
Rather uniquely however, instead of finding a replacement behind the scenes, the club have instead advertised the position on social media.

The 4,000+ that viewed the article were greeted with a short and simple message…
“The Club is now welcoming applications for the vacant role of First Team Manager.
“Those parties interested in the position should send their CVs to the Club’s Chief Executive, Mark Maguire on mark.maguire@hartlepoolunited.co.uk”
Following the advertisement going out, many fans amusingly replied back to say how they’d be up for taking on the job after how successful they were on video game Football Manager – check out what they are saying on the next page including a few suggestions on who the actual boss should be on the next page.
