Previous years, they’ve dressed up as Smurfs, Penguins, Oompa Loompas and Stormtroopers among many others.
“Every year we come up with something colourful and that will put smiles on people’s faces,” explained fancy dress organiser John Pearson.
“We wanted to come up with something this year that can bring all fans together so hopefully as many as possible can join in and we can bring some laughter to the occasion.
“A clown costume is something we thought is quite readily available for people so it will be easy for people to get hold of and get involved.
“There hasn’t been a lot to laugh about in recent years at the club but we’re hoping we can bring some comedy to the terraces at Tranmere!”
