This is what social media users said as the grassroots club goes viral with their pitch completely underwater following torrential rain…

@BroadcastMoose: Be fine by 3pm tomorrow 😉

@AndrewRuscoe: That’s playable, just adapt the rules to water polo for the day, Get some swimsuits though as it might be too cold for shorts 👍

@Owain7Jones: Would have played that back in the day! Just needs a good forking and a roll! 🤣🤣🤣

@PRED1875V: You got no chance playing on that, the ball will get stuck etc

@DavidM71392061: Bit of forking, a roller and sand in the goal mouth be fine

@thedogsballads: vMotson: “The score is 4 nil to the opposition. The floodgates have now been opened”.

@RK97kimbo: Nahh that’s sweet clip channels, play in wide areas and just avoid the middle. Might be a studs pitch tho 👌

@Zippyarchie: It will take a long stud but it will be playable by 3.00pm tomorrow – may need to play “long ball” though

@AdrianMonnery: Can you use someone else’s ground or training pitch? Would the league allow it?

@Jmckenna_81: Game on just take your armbands

@MarkMt1878: No problem, just make sure you use an orange ball 👍

@e_buyse: Better bring the long studs

@AlunFarrimond: A bit of forking – And some sand and it will be fine

@frogspad: It is water polo, right? 😂 Hope you get it sorted.

@_Danny__S: Still take a mould though?

@JamieHarle04: I honestly thought that was just a car park beside a pier.

@DannyF83246063: Visiting team coming in by boat? Do they have to dock in the car park?

@rickwhufc: Get the ref out there dropping the ball & doing that roll across the turf they do just to check it to make sure

@samgardiner29: That’s a football pitch? Not a lake? You sure you’re not in the wrong place? 😂

@Alexs1056: That’s a playable pitch back in the day

@Jxmes88: I can see the goalies snorkel

@RowdsDG: Quick sweep will sort that

@pdwyer1987: Bramley Moore 2050

@lane850: 😂 is that a jetty or a car park

@DavidMilesOranj: Water polo looks doable

@RoryMcMahon76: Haha 😄 🤣 love your positive outlook!

@Richlangley27: Leeds have played in worse

@TBowdery27: How’s your pitch drainage?

@colincurryer: Perfectly playable…

@Lescotts: Get the magic brush and fork out!

@saundeel: Just a puddle, game on

@bishttid: Games dead, couple of brushes and some sawdust and you’re good to go

@DensParkChoir: What the ref saw on Tuesday

@dontdosexy:
Stick a fork in it 👌
Don’t forget lads, screw in studs not moulded 👍⚽

@stephen_jury: bit of sand and forks, will be fine for 3pm KO

@Theothebald: Pitch looks soft but playable to me.

@LRbix: Swimming shorts and goggles, whose up water polo?

@MartinWilly: Probably take a screw in stud rather than a moulded

@TanniaCook: Anyone want to go swimming ? 🤣🤣

@ftblforfuture:
Heavy rain across parts of the UK will cause problems for football this weekend 🌧️
#gameoff for Bristol’s Redbridge FC whose pitches are completely under water 🏊
Climate change will unfortunately only increase the likelihood of severe weather impacting our communities 🌍

@An_dyclark: It’s got half a chance.

@superswifto28: Still playable

@natbalancenutri: Put a bit of sand down! It’ll be fine 😳

@robertdavro: A couple of old boys with pitch forks, soon dry out 😳

@maughany981: Bit sand will sort it

@sspencerukk: Aww jeezy peeps man

@TNYKN: Championship officials would still make you travel and wait an hour before kick off before they decide to postpone the game

@AllettMowers: Get the sponges out

@BillyRDQ22: 🤣🤣 bit of sun

@Cardiff_Bez>: Get the brushes out, sweep it off to the side. Be fine by 3pm tomorrow.
