‘Go home Sky Sports, you’re drunk’ – Supporters left confused after error on score graphic

Football fans were left confused when they noticed a huge error on Sky Sports’ score graphic for Manchester City’s match against Burnley yesterday.

City were already 1-0 up thanks to Sergio Aguero, but when Bernardo Silva put the hosts two goals up, the Sky Sports Premier League Twitter account had the graphic down as the Portuguese making it 2-0 for the Clarets.

Yep, they didn’t even delete the post and put up a corrected version.

When Man City went 3-0 up, there was no mistake this time, an even that led to fans joking about what a comeback it was…

Manchester City went on to win 5-0 and for each of those goals, Sky Sports did manage to get that right.

Other stunning goals from Fernandinho, Mahrez and Sané saw Man City stay top of the league and maintain their 100% home record this season.

Supporters keeping updated with the score alerts couldn’t help but reply to mock the error – take a look at how they reacted on the next page.
