Gateshead make dig at BT Sport with tweet

After BT Sport made it’s latest National League TV selection, Gateshead made a slight dig at the channel for not showing a single game of theirs this season.

Supporters of various club this season aren’t happy at certain teams such as Tranmere Rovers, Eastleigh, Wrexham, Hartlepool United, Macclesfield Town and more getting picked too often.

Check out the tweet that got the attention of supporters below…

It’s not the first time they’ve tweeted about not getting on tv either…

And again…

Gateshead currently sit 14th in the National League and get attendances below a thousand for majority of their fixtures.

The club announced some big news that club owners Richard and Julie Bennett have declared their intention to sell up and end their involvement at Gateshead after three years in charge.

The husband and wife duo took over from Graham Wood in May 2015, with the aim of returning the club to the Football League for the first time since 1960.

However, promotion has eluded them, as did an FA Trophy final this season after Bromley beat them in the semis.
