Footage surfaces showing a closer look at that brawl as Swansea boss Russell Martin details a phone call with Preston’s Ryan Lowe.
After the heated scenes between the two teams on Wednesday night, North End manager Ryan Lowe got in contact with Martin.
Both sets of players and staff came to blows late on with the hosts leading 3-2, but weren’t pleased that play hadn’t been stopped, with midfielder Jay Fulton down holding his head.
Swansea’s Joe Allen reportedly scrapped with Lowe and the chaos played on from there, with referee Oliver Langford losing control of the game and sent the pair off.
Martin was the lone individual who spoke after the match on Wednesday, after going head to head with Lowe, and had exchanged heated words Preston’s Ryan Ledson.
Martin felt North End’s manager instigated carnage but has since explained how he and Lowe have cleared the air over a phone call.

“I said on the night, it is what it is,” said Martin.
“I spoke to Ryan, he called us.
‘I spoke to Joe as well – he apologised, which I thought was great.
“We’ll just let the football authorities deal with it now.
“We had a chat.
“I didn’t judge him on the action anyway because he’s done a great job there and this job comes with a lot of pressure.
“I think it was good of him to call us up, we had a really good chat.
“We wished him all the best for the rest of the season, as he did us, and everyone moves on.”

Chaos at Swansea v Preston, players and staff in 30-man brawl, Joe Allen and Ryan Lowe sent off
Preston midfielder Ryan Ledson assures his side have moved on from the mass brawl.
โI think the ball had bounced in the middle of the park, and obviously I’ve won the header and the fella has gone down holding his head,” said Ledson, as per LancsLive.
“It was definitely not a foul; maybe it was a head injury. But we are just in the game and we’ve sort of carried on with that action. They have obviously complained that it was a head injury and we should’ve kicked the ball out. We are still on the pitch, the referee has blown his whistle a few times, so we’ve looked back and obviously it’s all kicking off.
“But it is what it is. I think both sets of players and staff were all involved, so there’s not much we can say about it really. I’m not sure, it’s probably both parties. It is what it is, as I say. It’s a bit of a scuffle; it happens all the time. To that extreme, maybe not, with everyone getting involved. But, then, once one happens it is all push and shove. It’s not real is it? Nothing is going to happen so, as I say, we crack on. It’s been put to bed.
“It is gone now; what can we do about it? We have got a big game on Saturday – a local derby – and that’s what we are looking forward to. We can forget about the other night. There are three games to go, we’re two points off the play-offs and if we beat Blackburn, we go above them. And that’s all our focus is now.”

โI am not going to speak too much about it, because there is an FA investigation going on,” said Ryan Lowe, when questioned, as per LancsLive. “What I will say, is that I’ve spoken to Russell Martin and I’ve spoken to Joe Allen. We’ve all had the same thoughts.
“Could it have been avoided? Yes. Did it get avoided? No. Did it happen? Yeah. It shows a bit of passion between both clubs – players and staff. It is what it is. It’s gone now and there will be an investigation into it.
“Could we have done without it? Yeah, of course – both teams. I was quite calm with it all to be honest, but again, it is passion and it happens, with the emotion of games. You will have seen more than I’ve seen, I think, because it will have all been out there. I don’t want to comment on it too much; I think I have said enough.
“Is it nice? No, it’s not. It could’ve been dealt with. The lads showed true passion and determination, of course. Maybe you should show it in different ways, but it is what it is. We have to move on quickly.”
