Fans take a strong disliking to Yeovil Town’s new 125th anniversary home kit which was unveiled via their club’s social media on Thursday afternoon.
Like so many clubs this summer, they have gone for something rather different with kit makers hummel, however there is a particular notable feature, that we think really ruins what could have been a decent strip.
That, as you can see in the photo below, in the writing sprawled across the front of it, the slogan ‘Achieve by Unity’ in displayed twice in two different colours (one dark green and the other pale green) at two difference angles.

The club statement read: Yeovil Town are delighted to reveal the eagerly anticipated 125th anniversary hummel kit for the 2020/21 season.
Designed in conjunction with the Danish sportswear giant, the shirt dons the club motto, ‘Achieve by Unity.’ An all-green colourway celebrates the kits of years gone by, whilst building for an even brighter future utilising a modern design.
Commenting club director Glenn Collis said: “Working with hummel on the design of the 125th Anniversary kit has been fantastic.
“The home kit embodies our core value of ‘Achieve by Unity’ with a modern twist, whilst paying respects to the history of our amazing club and supporters in our 125th anniversary year.”
News on how you can purchase the shirt will be revealed in the near future – those who purchased Crowdfunder packages of the new shirt will be the first to receive the brand-new shirt.
The kit sponsorship details will be confirmed in due course.

It was just three days ago that the National League outfit revealed they were joining forces with hummel as their kit partner for the 2020/21 season.
The Glovers added that they: “…will work hand in hand with the Danish sportswear giant to create kits and training gear for the next five seasons which encapsulates the culture and history of Yeovil Town.
“In the coming weeks, the new season’s kits will be unveiled which act as a tribute to our 125th anniversary as a football club.
“Alongside producing the latest Yeovil Town gear, hummel will now be our retail partner, assisting the production of the brand new online shop.”
Commenting Club Director Glenn Collis said: “We are very excited to be becoming a part of the hummel family. Forming a long lasting partnership to deliver the highest quality products to the club and our amazing supporters has always been paramount.”
Commercial Director of hummel Neil Burke also commented: “We are very excited to partner Yeovil Town FC, over the next few years we look forward to providing players and loyal fans with exceptional products.”
