Fans were left stunned by a bizarre incident from a non league cup match between Stafford Town and Barnton as the manager posts the footage.
The two sides were playing each other in the First Round of The Macron Cup with the away side advancing through thanks to a 5-0 victory.
Barnton were ahead with 16 minutes on the clock, as Joe Levey tucked the ball home from a spot kick after Tom Edwards fouled in the box.
The lead was doubled on the 41st minute thanks to a lovely floated free kick from Levey which was headed home at far post by Scoullar.
It was 3-0 on 56 minutes, Kennington with a lovely left foot finish from the edge of the box after a good period of possession football.
The day became more miserable for the hosts with the scoreline becoming 4-0 with just over 10 minutes of normal time remaining, a cross from Jay Lee was slotted home from 6 yards out by Freddie Garbutt.
Then in the fourth minute of stoppage time, a superb solo goal from Moseley made it five, latching onto a long ball and finishing nicely.

But as mentioned, fans were left rather stunned and amused by a bizarre incident from the non league cup match as manager posts footage showing what happened.

It shows a Stafford player minding his own business tying up the laces on his boots. But before he knows it, a Barnton player walks over to him, looks around hoping he wouldn’t get caught doing what he was about to do, then deliberately stamps on the Stafford player.
But what is even stranger, is that after the Stafford player grabs the opponents leg to try and stop him from walking away, the Barnton player then falls to ground and has the cheek to hold his knee and face in a plea to win something or get the referee’s attention all of a sudden. Funny how he couldn’t care about what he did to the other player. Check it out for yourself…

FAN REACTION:
@brendenjohns: A coward! To stamp on someone whilst they are tying their laces
@MickyCorkyCoyle: First tackle he’d of been 6ft in the air with a dangling leg!!!!
@SDivitt: As a referee I would be hoping my assistant helps ( as the ref is looking the opposite direction ) as a ex player , that lad is going 5 foot in the air after a little challenge from me !
@Adrobbo3: Should send this to him personally Steve embarrassing 🙄 I hope the lad makes a full recovery 😂
@hadders112: Chap in black and white kit should be ashamed of himself. I get elements of gamesmanship and game management but that’s just an embarrassing attempt to cheat and not even a good one. In this day an age, camera’s everywhere who’d want to be ‘known’ for that! Very odd!
@adamcarrara1: Black and white shirt is pathetic. I’d be ashamed and embarrassed if that was my son. Red shirt has done so well not reacting.
@stephencoakley: The lad should be banned for weeks- sneaky pathetic stamp then dives around an utter embarrassment
@Appers_TCH: No retrospective action with video footage? Disgusting that is.
@BeanPeaArthur: This is everything that’s wrong with the game…..a lad does an act of kindness – using his boot to show an opposing player which area of his boots need a polish and it results in an online witch-hunt. Game’s gone.
@ashdabell58: Looks like the linesman is looking straight at it
@Bowtomephil: Good acting by the other guy, needs a banning for 5 games for cheating.
@TommyCrow7: Hope he 2 footed the rat after this
@jordankenny6: Would’ve absolutely fucking nailed the cunt next chance I had after that stamp
@JakeNickless1: Should of got up and chinned the life out of him muggy fucker
@CraigySmiffy: Would’ve caused world war 3 if it was a Saturday league near us 😂😂 Done tremendously well not to clump him!
@JackDale_98: That number 9 is a proper bellend
@TwoJ14: The number 9 is a complete and utter 🔔🔚
@Jordan_Fox95: Wtf 😂😂😂
@donmaarko: Is this what grassroots football has got like back home. What a joke.
@shootisload: Both a pair of cunts to be fair, ones a cunt for stepping on his toe and rolling around like he’d been shot and the others a twat for reacting, barely touched each other and both acted like a pair of pussys
@DanielG50932957: My studs would have been through the pricks head
@CallumFranks109: I’m hoping the next 50/50 was a horror tackle 😂
@_tm0991: Would of booked him anyway for being ginger. Fucking copper bollocks.
@JoshHarris91: What’s happening to football 🤯
@AdamGreen19: I’d of quite happily taken a ban and fine for that fucker 😡
@craigcfc25: What on earth have I just seen, all that play acting and trying to get people sent off in the modern progressional game creeping down into grassroots. Embarrassing
@MG45664508: Actually pathetic. Youth football is full of wannabes that try to emulate what they see on tv, when in reality there’ll never be close to being professional
@Coxxy1884: That’s a shocker, any of my lads did that and they’d be straight in the bin.
@DeanAMarsden: Is this really what football has become at this level? 🤦🏻♂️
@jack_till_16: Wow 🤦🏻♂️🤡😂
@TommyBerwick9: What a bellend
That’s part of our problem Scott, we try to retain respect and have even been told by officials in our league we’re naive & too nice. We’ve only gotta fart near an opponent though and it’s a booking and another £12. Beyond farcical now, lads losing interest.
— Steve Barrow (@BarrowSteve) October 17, 2022
Officials aren’t to the standard anymore! And the league just chuck fines about you’re right pal. I hope he stays interested mate.

Referee was looking in opposite direction so didn’t see it. The lad is cute and checks before stamping. Both players got the waggy finger.
— Steve Barrow (@BarrowSteve) October 17, 2022
The ref never saw it Alan as was looking in the direction of the goal kick that their GK was setting up. The ref was good and no fault is at his door in my opinion. He can’t give what he didn’t see. Albeit plenty have.

Clever play? Stamping on someone, then rolling on the floor like you’re the victim is cowardly at best.
