Fans raise thousands after non league player Cameron Beckles collapses mid-game and left in a critical but stable condition.
The 20 year old Corinthian FC defender has undergone two surgeries and remains in hospital after collapsing last week (25th November).
The game against Larkfield and New Hythe was subsequently abandoned in respect, with the player’s health at mind of everyone in the stadium at the time.
The GoFundMe page reads: “In the 40th minute of Corinthian FC’s Kent Senior Trophy match at Larkfield and New Hythe, our player Cameron Beckles collapsed on Saturday 25th November.
“The management, players and in particular the physios of both sides acted swiftly and with complete professionalism and we offer our thanks to Larkfield for this.
“Cam was taken by ambulance to Maidstone Hospital and then transferred to a London hospital for surgery on Saturday night. He then required further surgery on Sunday afternoon and he is currently in a stable but critical condition and will continue to be monitored closely over the next 48 hours.
“All of our thoughts and prayers are with Cam and his family, and we at Corinthian FC continue to support them in any way we can.
“We will provide further updates as and when his family wish for this information to be shared.
“As a football club, have been overwhelmed by the love and support from the wider football community since sharing an update on Cameronβs condition. We know that these messages of support mean a lot to Camβs family at this tough time.
“We have been contacted multiple times asking how to help, so we have set up a GoFundMe page for Cam and his family.
“Cam continues to fight in hospital and we ask you keep Cam in your thoughts and prayers.”

Manager Michael Golding also took to Twitter, saying: “The most heartbreaking few days, but nothing compared to what Cam and his family must be going through.
“All my thoughts are with you Cam. A huge thank you and my complete admiration to @amycollinsAC and @LNHFC1961 physio as well as Pete Burke for how they handled the situation.”
Croydon FC, Beckles former club, wrote: “All at @Croydon_FC would like to wish Cameron Beckles a speedy recovery. Our thoughts and prayers to you and your family.”
Glebe Football Club: “Hoping Cameron makes a full recovery from his operations. Cam was a very popular player during his season with us and everybody at Glebe wishes him well”
