A ‘fan’ who filmed himself racially abusing England players, and went viral on social media, has been arrested and banned by a local pub.
As we’ve seen, Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were sent a huge number of abuse after their penalty miss in defeat to Italy in the Euro 2020 final a week Sunday.
One England fan posted a hateful rant online after the final whistle went at Wembley, with officers then arresting the man from Kent in relation to a malicious communications offence.
Posting on Facebook, the plasterer named Brad Pretty, who had an England flag painted on his face ranted: “Where do I start where do I start. Sick, gutted like all of us.
“Proper deflated. Gotta be proud of the boys, be proud, but anyone and everyone that knows me well will understand what I’m talking about.
“Three lions on a shirt, right. How many times have we seen England players, w*** take penalties for us and f*** it up.
“Three f***ing lions, three f***ing c***s f***ed it for us.”
He ends the video by screaming into the camera before switching it off.

The footage has attracted thousands of comments slamming his behaviour, with one person writing “we should ruin this c***s life”.
A Facebook friend of Pretty’s said: “I don’t know him too well and only say hello in passing. He’s a bit of a lad and everyone knows it but I didn’t know he was like that. I don’t think he’s very liked anymore.
“When I saw the video, I really cringed. It’s that split second of stupidity. Press send and his whole life’s finished.
“I can’t believe how viral its gone so quickly with almost a million views. He’ll never work again. I don’t know where he’d go or where he’d get any support.
“Police should definitely be getting involved. It’s sickening language which should never be repeated.”
A neighbour of the plasterer, who wanted to remain anonymous, added: “The video is absolutely foul. Even if you have those awful views, why would you post them online? As soon as social media picks it up, it’s game over.
“I’ve spoken to him once before and he seemed pretty pally and high spirited. Just like a normal person really. It’s a shock to see as he appears to be quite family orientated.
“You can be the hardest person in the world but if the world’s against you, you’re going to s*** yourself.
“There were England flags up in the windows on Tuesday but they seem to have been taken down now. You could hear them cheering and singing with the windows open during the Euros.”
The disgusting footage came to light as police forces up and down the country arrested people in relation to racist abuse, so far the number stands at just five, yet we all know there is more out there who need locking up.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has warned online racists will be banned from matches after more than a million Brits signed a petition within two days stating that they should be punished.
Putting the trolls on notice the PM warned: “You will not be going to the match. No ifs, no buts, no exceptions, no excuses.”
Kent Police arrested a 49-year-old man in relation to a video posted online, in connection to a malicious communications offence, who has since been released on bail.
Chief Superintendent Warren Franklin of Kent Police said: “On the afternoon of Tuesday 13 July 2021 Kent Police received a referral from the national policing lead for Euro 2020 relating to an offensive video that had been posted on social media.
“Later that day officers attended an address in Folkestone and arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of a malicious communications offence. He was taken into custody pending further enquiries.
“Kent Police will continue to keep the national policing lead updated and will respond accordingly to any other similar incidents that may be reported to us.”
Manager Gareth Southgate described the racist online abuse directed at some of his stars after the defeat to Italy as “unforgivable”.
And the Duke of Cambridge, who is president of the Football Association, said he was “sickened” by the abuse.
“It is totally unacceptable that players have to endure this abhorrent behaviour,” he wrote on Twitter.
“It must stop now and all those involved should be held accountable.”
Other arrests have also been made in other parts of the country after alleged online abuse following the final.
West Mercia Police said on Tuesday that a man, 50, had been detained on suspicion of inciting racial hatred after allegedly sending a bigoted tweet to Marcus Rashford.
And estate agents Savills confirmed it had suspended a worker who is also alleged to have tweeted a hateful message in a separate incident. He literally had his place of work in his profile.
