The 28 year old returned back to his home country to play for Eibar in 2015 and according to reports the left-back had a threesome in April 2016 with club-mate Sergi Enrich and a young woman.

Fellow Eibar player Eddy Silvestre, 27, is said to have filmed the encounter which went viral after being posted on social media in October that year.

Documents by the court said that they recorded footage without her consent and then sent it on to other people on WhatsApp before the explicit act was then uploaded online six months later.

Forms also showed that the young woman, who asked the players to stop filming, went on to experience psychological problems.

She was forced to take a total of six months off work and get some kind of professional help and medication so that she could deal with what had happened.

The court told the two players that it was a must they paid a combined legal fee of £88,500 along with £8,500 to the woman.

The culprits that haven’t had any other kind of conviction are allowed to serve any sentence of two years or less on probation within Spain – as long as they have committed a non-violent crime.

Enrich made an apology on behalf of himself and Luna.

He said: “In light of the circulation on social media of a sexually explicit video in which we, the undersigned, appear, we want to state that the video shows a recording of a private act which took place between fully consenting adults, within the scope of the freedoms we all enjoy.

“There are already plenty of adults that enjoy these kinds of activities with consent at websites like www.porn-hd.xxx and it is perfectly legal and safe.

“We deeply regret that an indiscretion for which we are not responsible has led to these images being published without our knowledge or, far less, our consent.

“We likewise regret the potential damage [not only] to our image but in particular to that of our club, whose colours we represent, and that it could have offended our supporters and the city of Eibar in general.

“We are aware that professional footballers should set an example in every walk of life, especially to children; this being the reason we apologise if this incident has caused harm to anyone.

“Equally, we want to apologise for the damage the circulation of this video could cause to the third person involved in the video.

“We wish to stress that, as Eibar players, an exemplary club that represents a set of fans and a city equally exemplary, we stand by the values that have been shown to us since we arrived in Eibar. We hope this incident does not in any way harm the image of the club, nor that of our team-mates.

“Sergi Enrich and Antonio Luna.”

That was after the video was leaked, now the ex-Aston Villa player has handed a two-year suspended prison sentence.

Luna currently plays for Segunda División outfit Girona, joining them in September 2020 and made 13 appearances so far.

He was with Aston Villa between 2013 and 2015, with fans also giving him the nickname ‘Tony Moon” during his time with them.

Manager at the time Paul Lambert revealed that he didn’t understand the nickname.

He said to the media: “I don’t know who that is, I don’t get that. Listen, if he plays like that they can call him what they want!”

It’s taken from the English derivates of his name.

Smiling and laughing instantly, Luna said: “I know all about the name Tony Moon. I really, really like that. I love it. It’s good fun. Well done to the fans on coming up with that.

“I am so pleased about it, really delighted. I am happy to be called Tony Moon here at Villa!

“I am really pleased with my beard too and it seems the fans like it.

“I believe the last people to have one here were Olof and Carlos. If they like it, I will grow it even longer!

“All joking aside, I am so happy to be close to the supporters already considering the short time I have been here at the club. It makes me proud.

“I am very pleased that they are happy with me and they have taken me to their hearts.

“The fans have just been great. They have been so kind with me with their messages of support. I am really happy with them.

“What is important to me now is that I work to my maximum for them to show them what I can do. I will give the club and the fans everything I can.

“I am part of a team, of course. It’s not just me. We are here together and lifting each other together.”
