Every National League club ranked by visiting fans for best atmosphere

Visiting football fans have rated (by stars) the atmosphere at National League grounds on the website footballgroundmap.com.

We have taken a look at and ranked all of the National League teams’ average stars from poorest to best atmosphere.

Take a look at the countdown below:

24) BOREHAM WOOD

A post shared by Rob Warren (@robgwarren) on

The number of visits by the users (of footballgroundmap.com) to York Road is 4,632, and the average rating is 1 and a half stars out of 5.

Boreham Wood had a great season, just missing out on promotion via the playoffs. Their average attendance is up on the previous season but with one of the worst in the league, they sit bottom of this countdown.

23) GATESHEAD

The number of visits by the users (of footballgroundmap.com) to Gateshead International Stadium is 5,633, and the average rating is 1 and a half stars out of 5.

Worrying times for Gateshead at the minute who had their potential takeover of the club collapse. The North East club finished 17th. Their small crowds in a big open stadium for the club understandably puts them low down on this.

22) SALFORD CITY

The number of visits by the users (of footballgroundmap.com) to Moor Lane is 1,367, and the average rating is 2 stars out of 5.

Moor Lane in the last year has had a drastic makeover thanks to the Manchester United Class of the ’92 owners pumping money into the club. Majority of the ratings would have been when the changes weren’t made no doubt so we can surely expect to see a rise in it come the next few seasons.

21) AFC FYLDE

The number of visits by the users (of footballgroundmap.com) to Mill Farm is 546, and the average rating is 2 stars out of 5.

Finished their first season in the National League just clinching a playoff place. Another team who have a lovely new stadium. Crowds are down on the previous season. A club maybe just trying to increase that fanbase for Mill Farm. Expect that rating to rise in the near future.
