Yep, that’s something we didn’t expect to ever read, watch and write. Then again, this is Eric Cantona we’re talking about.
He has left Twitter users amused and confused, appearing in a street interview in Bermondsey, with a video taken by @EmanRTM uploaded online.
Eric Cantona appears suddenly after a clip of a Tottenham fan trying, and failing, to spell the word ‘weapon’, with Emmanuel the interviewer seemingly unaware he was actually talking to Cantona, asking him what 8+6 is.

He replied: “The only number I know is number seven”, referencing his iconic shirt number from his playing days, still, the interviewer seemingly not aware.
Cantona then decides to walks away, but the camera pans down and surprisingly shows a goat randomly being walked on a dog lead.
Twitter users had all sorts of questions as you can imagine. We sure did after seeing the clip.
It seems if reports are anything, per Southwark News, to go by, earlier in June, Eric Cantona had been in Bermondsey to shoot an advert for Ford with it claimed could air during the Euros 2024 tournament, however we are yet to see this air.
He was seen outside a pub, doing filming at The Victoria on Pages Walk on Thursday the 13th of June, just down the road from Millwall’s The Den.

The former footballer, turned singer, made an unusual appearance during Michael McIntyre’s Big Show earlier tis year.
The pre-recorded show saw the 57 year old up on stage performing his song, titled ‘The Friends We Lost’ from his album Cantona Sings.
He toured in October 2023, and against April after the album release in March.
The performance was a surreal one of that if that’s the word to describe it, some viewers even thought this was part of one of Michael’s jokes.
After his performance, Michael asked: “Tell me, how do you like singing compared to playing football? What’s the feeling like in front of a crowd?”
Eric replied: “I played football, I did acting, going onstage in theatres. I think music, to be onstage in music, live in music, is as strong as football.”
Michael: “So ooh ahh, that’s a problem isn’t it? When you go on tour, are you worried that the crowd are going to sing more than you, when you go to Manchester?”
Eric: “They’ll sing, they love to sing and I love them to sing.”
Michael: “You don’t mind if they all sing Ooh, Ah, Cantona… when you are trying to sing The Friends We Lost Along The Way?”
Eric: “As soon as they listen to me when I sing, yes. In between the songs, yeah. We’re sharing time.”
