English clubs learn fate of European draws

Our English sides have today learned the fate of who they’ll face in the Champions League and Europa League.

Liverpool are the only side from England to remain in the Champions League with Arsenal being the only one to remain in the Europa League.

How did they both get on in the previous round:

Liverpool – beat Manchester City 5-1 on aggregate

Arsenal – beat CKSA Moscow 6-3 on aggregate

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE:

LIVERPOOL v ROMA

EUROPA LEAGUE:

ARSENAL v ATLETICO MADRID

The Champions League semi-final first legs are the week after next – 24 and 25 April, with the second legs a week later (1-2 May). Both Europa League semis are the day after that.

The Champions League final is then played in Kiev on Saturday, 16 May.

And despite most Europa League games being played on a Thursday, they have the final in Lyon on a Wednesday – 16 May.
