England fans say the Sheikh’s son ‘took them to the palace’ and met lions during what started off being a beer hunt while out in Qatar.
The evening began as a ‘hunt for beers’, with a group of England lads, who also support Everton, got talking to Nawaf and Abdul Aziz.
They decided to head back to their home, with one of them claiming to be the son of a Sheikh, and the Three Lions supporters hit the jackpot.
England and Everton fan Alex told talkSPORT: “We were just having a good time, having a mooch, getting our bearings right and the set-up’s spot on. We’ve been enjoying ourselves.”
John, who was also part of the party added: “Last night we met one of the Sheikh’s sons and he took us back to the palace and he showed us, he had lions and everything.
“They’ve made us so welcome and look around you, it doesn’t get any better than this.”
Alex added: “We were on a hunt for some beers and they said ‘We’ll sort beers’, so we jumped into the back of his Toyota Land Cruiser, ended up in a big palace.
“We were in the back and he showed us monkeys, his exotic birds, it was nuts.”
In another video, he can be seen sitting outside under floodlights next to what appear to be a set of football nets with a group of men dressed in traditional Qatari thobes – long white robes – and headdresses.
Alex sits down on a chair and begins petting and kissing a playful a lion cub on a leash. ‘F***in’ mad,’ he adds.
