Demba Ba mugs off Steven Gerrard’s slip with one of the greatest tweets of all-time

Demba Ba mugs off Steven Gerrard’s slip with one of the greatest tweets of all-time, providing many a football fan with laughter.

The former Premier League striker has faded off the radar recently, after enjoying spells at West Ham United, Newcastle United and Chelsea before heading to Turkey and China.

It’s fair to say however that his sense of humour hasn’t left him, as one of his tweets has gone viral on Saturday when he reacted to a post showing a classy act of sportsmanship.

As seen below, it shows a clip of a five-a-side match where one of the players loses his balance and slips to the floor to give the opposition a great chance to go down the other end and score.

However, he chooses not to and passes the ball forward into space for the opposition goalkeeper to collect which draws a round of applause from those watching and playing.

Demba Ba was having none of it and he reminisced to the time he scored against Liverpool at Anfield during a Premier League fixture in 2014 after Steven Gerrard lost his footing in similar circumstances.

Sportsmanship doesn’t exist on that occasion, and clearly he would have done exactly the same in this situation if he was in on goal.
