It was certainly a busy Deadline Day yesterday with plenty of clubs bringing in and selling players. One of those was Josh Windass who left Rangers for Wigan Athletic.
He has joined the newly promoted side on a permanent deal after spending two seasons the Scottish club.
“Josh is an exciting player with an eye for a goal and he gives us further strength in attacking positions,” Wigan boss Paul Cook told the club’s official website.

However, shortly after the signing was announced, former footballer and Josh’s father Dean Windass has managed to anger Rangers supporters with a tweet.
Windass was asked a question, which was clearly meant to annoy him. One Rangers fan asked: “Happy fatty?”
Instead of ignoring the tweet, Windass responded by saying: “Very get away from u mongs”.
The tweet has since been deleted although many social media users spotted it and made sure they got a screenshot of it.
Dean then ended the night by putting out this tweet…
Just want to say thanku to Glasgow rangers F.C. for giving our josh the opportunity to play for your club a lot of stick and banter witch was gd and bad and bad at times but life moves on it’s just a game of football at the end of the day ⚽️

Obviously the Rangers fans are angry of what what their now former player’s Dad had to say, but the majority have still decided to wish Josh Windass the best of luck.
