Croatia sail through to the knockout stages of the World Cup after beating Argentina 3-0 this evening.
Throughout the first half, the Argentines looked vulnerable defensively but it was a mistake from Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero which gifted their opponents Croatia the opening goal of the game.
Caballero committed one of the errors of the tournament so far as his attempted chipped pass presented Ante Rebic with the chance to fire into the back of the net.
Caballero was left with his head in his hands following the unbelievable mess-up.

The keeper received a backpass, tried to clip a little ball out to a defender and only succeeded in dinking the ball up in the air, straight to Ante Rebic who hits a sensational dipping volley over Caballero’s head and into the back of the net.
The surprises didn’t stop there however, Luka Modric takes the ball 25 yards from goal, tried the first dummy, then the second and bends a beautiful strike which flies past Willy Caballero into the corner of the net.

Into injury time, it was 3-0. Croatia broke away from an Argentina corner and it was three on two. Willy Caballero makes a very good save to deny Ivan Rakitic, but the defenders stop and watch as Mateo Kovacic is able to square the rebound for Rakitic to slide into an empty net.
