Chairman Glyn Rennocks commented: ‘When someone of Billy’s calibre becomes available on our doorstep you have to do everything you can to get him on board. Since we met last week its been a pleasure to deal with him and we are delighted he’s chosen us over a host of big names in non-league.
‘Being a Leicester based lad our location suits him perfectly, he can now balance working full time whilst playing part time football. I would like to thank everyone behind the scenes who has helped get this deal over the line.’

What a signing that is for the Ravens. Billy has been through some well documented tough times and to still have the desire to play is admirable. To step away from the pro game in League One, this surely is all about the guys pure love of football.
