Dunston UTS, the lowest ranked team left in the cup, play their football in the Northern League Division One where they currently sit 7th. In the last round of the FA Cup, they knocked out Chester with a 4-3 victory.
Opponents Gateshead, who face just a 7 mile round trip to Dunston, currently sit outside the playoff places in the National League after a bright start to the season. It will be their first game of this season’s tournament. Last year they got all the way to the Second Round when they ended up losing out to Luton Town.
Since the news of the selected FA Cup tie was made by the BBC, there was plenty reaction and love for the choice of game – take a look at those tweets on the next page.
