Awful state of Wembley pitch mocked as Man City beat Tottenham to go back to the top

Manchester City have beaten Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 tonight but it was the state of the Wembley pitch that got everyone talking on social media.

The surface was left looking worse for wear after Philadelphia Eagles had played against the Jacksonville Jaguars on it just a day earlier.

Many of the markings were visible you can see in the photos below…

Riyad Mahrez scored the only goal of the game after Raheem Sterling took advantage on Kieran Trippier’s mistake.

It means Man City go back to the top of the table, replacing Liverpool, Spurs however stay 5th.
