Lord Alan Sugar has been once again immediately proven wrong after mocking Arsenal’s pink kit in a tweet during the club’s win at Crystal Palace.
The Apprentice host produced yet another social media own goal just weeks after he hit the headlines with a strange tweet about the lack of male commentators at Women’s Euros 2022.
He kept up his oddball run of form by taking aim at the Gunners’ third kit at Crystal Palace and once again Ian Wright was brought into it.
Mikel Arteta’s side featured in a pink third kit at Selhurst Park, catching the attention of Alan Sugar, who tweeted: “Pink shirts! I wonder if @IanWright0 would have played in a pink shirt.”

One user hit back to Sugar within four minutes of the original tweet, posting an image of the Lord proudly wearing a pink shirt on the Apprentice. He even had an answer for that too.
He replied: “Idiot a pink shirt to wear with suit is perfectly fine. But a football Jersey…. come off it,” then it sparked another wave of messages, including from one football fan who said: “Nothing wrong with the shade of gammon on a shirt.”
Someone else responded with a picture of Ian Wright wearing a bright pink shirt during an appearance on ITV.
Another user replied: “Takes a real man to wear pink though. But I’m sure that you haven’t got a single clue about been a “real” man.”

Ian Wright slammed Alan Sugar during the Women’s Euros:
“Can everyone please just stop sending me the tweet? You know, and Sugar tweet.
“I was taking my daughter to singing lessons and the tweets just it’s it’s blowing up. It’s just it’s doing my head in.
“I can can’t believe it.Alan the thing is, my friend, rather than just say I got it wrong, lots of men are working at all levels at a tournament, which you doubled down on some complete foolishness.
“So in your mind, you actually thought, after you sent that tweet, that the BBC phoned me up? Never mind the fact that we’ve been ready to do this for a year.
“I’ve been booked for a year. You genuinely think that they called up and said, ‘Ian, you’ve got to get back from Germany ASAP. Alan Sugar’s tweeted and we can’t upset him. We need to get you on’.
“You genuinely believe that that happened? Because I need to know. Because that says to me, my God, your ego is out of totally out of control.
“Where’s the people around you to hug you? Bro, you need some hugs, man. Look, you’re coming on here, coming on Twitter for attention like this, it’s laughable.
“Stop doing it to yourself. But I got to say thank you. Thank you, man, for that tweet.
“Because if it wasn’t for you, I missed one of the greatest ever England games that’s ever been played.
“The thing is, all seriousness, I’m glad you’re watching. And the only thing that you can find fault with doesn’t even exist.
“I sit in rooms I sit in these rooms of ex players, be little in the women’s game all the time. I’m so glad, and it annoys you and all of them.
“Can I just say, I hope you enjoy the rest of the tournament. Can you please tweet again so I can work Friday? Please? God bless.”

Twitter users reacted as Alan Sugar is immediately proven wrong after mocking Arsenal’s pink kit in a bizarre tweet…
@andrewjquinlan: Everton played in salmon pink before even you were born, it’s not a new thing. *Checks Wikipedia…yep, before you were born.
@mltew: And why does a shirt colour matter at all????
@TheWadddd: Give it a rest Sugar lad
@RProud89: I’m sure Wrighty wouldn’t of given a toss what colour his shirt was.
@SOS_Stacey: Ah yes, I forgot pink makes you less of a man…. Christ
@theianclay: Standard Sunday morning football colours
@1878domingo: Strange. You ok?
@GeorgieBaxter93: Of all the things that is going on right now in football and in this game. You are worried about a team wearing pink shirts. Get a grip.
@ReggieHagland: Of course he would’ve off, nothing wrong with the shirt. Tottenham had an all brown kit, always good to see who they represented 💩
@JustPaul85: Why wouldn’t he wear pink? Genuinely confused!
@SMinihane87: That’s a lot of homophobia, misogyny and sexism coming out of a very small angry man.
@megancantle99: Oh shut up.
@SUBHCMole: Ahem @DulwichHamletFC…
@BradfordBrowny: You seem to be painting @IanWright0 as some misogynistic chap who the BBC wheeled out to appease folk like yourself. Would Wrighty wear a pink shirt? I’m sure he would. As for your opinions, I fear that they are a lot wider of the mark than any of Wright’s shots ever would be!
@sineadmcanenny: Never you worry what colour our shirts are all you need to know is NORTH LONDON IS RED!!! #arsenal
@PenngoonerJack: Ian Wright would have willingly graced whatever shirt Arsenal gave to him
@UNDERCOVER_JM: Nothing wrong with pink. 🤡🙄
@DannyPatterson7: Put the Wine down Alan. Watch the game properly instead.
